Tax Equity 101 with Baker Botts
Join the Wharton Energy Network and Matt Donnelly and Martin Toulouse of Baker Botts LLP for a "101" overview of Tax Equity, a financing structure common in the energy industry. The presentation will begin with an overview of the available federal tax incentives (ITC, PTC, MACRS, etc.) and their requirements. It will then cover the development of the “tax equity” market and “tax equity” structures, with particular emphasis on the most common structure: flip partnerships. Finally, the panel will cover current issues in tax equity as well as the market outlook, including the effect of potential changes under the new Congress and the Biden-Harris Administration.
