Dr. Moyo was born in Zambia and has studied in both the U.S. (American University and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government) and the U.K. (PhD, Oxford University). A four-time New York Times bestselling author and veteran board member, her most recent publication, "How Boards Work: And How They Can Work Better in a Chaotic World," offers an insider's view of corporate boards, their struggles, and why they must adapt to survive in the 21st century. Dr. Moyo has extensive practical board experience and is currently serving as a member on the boards of Chevron, 3M, and Condé Nast. She also serves on the Oxford University Endowment Investment Committee.
Dr. Moyo is a pre-eminent thinker who influences key decision-makers in strategic investments and public policy. She is a top-tier opinion former and trusted advisor on macroeconomics, geopolitics, and technology themes. She advised the World Bank and Goldman Sachs for nearly a decade and is currently a co-principal of Versaca Investments, a family office focused on growth investing globally.
Dr. Moyo is also a prolific writer, and in addition to the above books, she has written well over one hundred articles covering topics like China, the global economy, democracy, technology, and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. We are pleased to say that she has published multiple articles in the Harvard Business Review. Dr. Moyo has been named on Oprah Winfrey's "O" power list, TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list, and has given two TED Talks. If this is not enough, she has also traveled to 65 countries and is an accomplished marathon runner, having completed four marathons (The New York City Marathon twice and the London marathon twice).
