Laura Bailey, W'82 and Managing Vice President of Capital One, has been appointed Co-Chair of this year's ULI Houston Urban Marketplace.  Organized annually by the Houston chapter of the Urban Land Institute, Urban Marketplace attracts hundreds of local real estate developers, planners, architects, and financiers for a day of education and inspiration. 

This year's Urban Marketplace theme is "Upward Mobility."  Bailey, Co-Chair Stephan Fairfield, and honorary chair  David Wolff will spotlight transit-based development as well as opportunities created by federal stimulus programs.  Tom Murphy, three-term mayor of Pittsburgh and ULI senior fellow in urban development, will deliver the keynote address.
