Houston Sustainable Energy Partnership

The Houston Sustainable Energy Partnership (HSEP) is a new nonprofit dedicated to advancing the development of sustainable energy in Houston and the gulf coast area.

The HSEP vision is to help Houston become the undisputed sustainable energy capital of the country, achieving much the same reputation for wind, solar and biofuel development that it has enjoyed for many decades in traditional fossil energy. With the depth of our city's talent, the wealth of its resources, and the commitment of its leaders, there is no acceptable reason why we should not achieve this goal.

In order to realize this vision, we have adopted a mission of working to create a community and environment in which sustainable energy stakeholders – investors, academics, public officials, and citizens – can discuss and learn about sustainable energy development in the gulf-coast area, thereby promoting the sustainable energy dialog and ensuring Houston's impact on our nation's energy future.

To help make this happen, we are, in the near term, working to build a broad coalition of sustainable energy contacts throughout the city – business leaders, politicians, and members of other non-profits – and rolling out resources like this new web site. We are committed to providing timely and relevant information on sustainable energy and we hope that you will visit the site often to learn what is happening across our city.

If you share our passion for sustainable energy, or would simply like to learn more about HSEP's work, we invite you to contact us and share your ideas. You can reach us and stay apprised of sustainable energy developments in Houston by visiting www.houstonsep.org.
