Here's what Brian has to say:  This book came about as a result of Hurricane Rita, during which time I spent a week driving around small towns in the southeastern U.S. collecting local stories and distilling them down into small poems. Once I put it all together, and then added similar scenes from all of the other states, this was the result. I hope folks like it!
